Why we have Memorial Day off of school?

We have Memorial Day off from school because we take that time to remember the people that died in our family or that was close to our family.If the people that know the people that died they might feel sad so they don't want to school or work feeling like crap.That is very sad if they do that & we did have school.People in high school that is in JROTC go put flags on peoples graves.
